The Black Sheep

 

 The only one of the family not arrested for one reason or another.

 

 A laundry list of crimes can be attributed to the family, traced clear back to the Prohibition days.  Moonshine turned to pot, turned to meth.  The family did anything and everything to make a buck, not that it ever really showed.   Various family members had been arrested for everything from public intoxication, driving under the influence, and under-aged drinking  to elder abuse.  

 

That last one was the last straw for Joey.   He turned his cousin in, and after numerous members of the rest of the family were jailed for contempt of court and / or obstruction of justice, he was ostracized by the family.  Joey stuck around, taking care of his gramps until the old man passed, and then he kicked the dirt of Pine Knot, Kentucky from his boots and never looked back.
